Latin TAs and other qualified M.A. students may apply to teach in the fall semester ORVIETO PROGRAM. Preferences for the appointment are as follows:

M.A. (Philology emphasis)

• superior Latin philological abilities (ability to teach upper division Latin courses)
• mastery of a broad range of classical literature (ability to teach Classics 250A-B)
• experience teaching both intensive and regularly-paced Latin courses

ABT (Philology emphasis)

• superior Latin philological abilities (ability to teach through Latin 400)
• mastery of a broad range of classical literature (ability to oversee on-line Classics 250A-B)
• experience teaching both intensive and regularly-paced Latin courses

Additional preference will be given to applicants with:

• travel experience abroad
• knowledge of Italian

• study of/interest in literature and material and cultural remains of ancient and post-classical Italy
